Startup Weekend adalah acara global yang diinisiasi oleh Techstars dan didukung oleh Google for Entrepreneurs.

Pada tanggal 25-27 Mei, Hubud akan kembali mengadakan acara Startup Weekend Bali, yaitu sebuah acara dimana kamu akan belajar untuk membangun sebuah startup, mulai dari pitching ide bisnis baru, mem-validasi ide tersebut, sampai diluncurkan di akhir acara, semua dalam durasi 54 jam.

Berlokasi di Ubud, Bali, kami mengundang semua anak muda Indonesia berusia 16 sampai 23 tahun untuk bergabung dalam acara ini.

Okay,so we all know that plastic is a Massive global issue. It adversely affects wildlife and humans. They last literally Forever, or at least takes 100+ years for each to degrade. It pollutes land, waterways, and oceans. Harms living organisms, particularly marine animals. Humans fish in the sea, and eat the fishes that they catch, that have eaten plastics waste in the sea that they thought was food.

Many are now trying to reduce the amount of plastic trash in many ways, so do we. There are many things you can do with your plastic waste instead of just throwing them away, what we do is we make art out of them. We put them together to make canvases and end up with beautiful artworks done.

Do YOU have colorful plastic bags at your home? Then please bring them here to our Plastic-Trash Art Workshop and we will show you how you can turn them into cool artworks. When you’re done, take pictures of them and encourage your social media friends to do the same! That way, less and less plastic will end up in our nature and harm the beautiful animals.

This workshop starts at 3pm to 6pm, on Wednesday(April 11). Please bring your plastic bags in different colors, whatever colors and sizes you have. And as usual, you can make your own Free unlimited Bali coffee & tea in our kitchen, anytime, just by liking our FB page Art Geed Art and following our insta @artgeedart.

About this workshop:

This fun, challenging sequence of arm-balances is designed to teach you how to do arm-balances with greater mindfulness and ease. What you will learn:

How to handle all this things at once? You will concretely practise and learn simple but efficient exercises you can keep doing on your own time, tips and tricks on how to improve your public speaking, and learn more about this beautiful instrument you have: your voice.

Where are your weaknesses and where your points of strengths?

Public speaking is about portraying yourself or your company at the best way possible. A great speaker will definitely capture more attention than a mediocre one, even though their project is more interesting.

Some people think they are just not cut for public speaking: not true. With practise and exercise, everything is possible.

About the speaker:

Cristina is a voice coach and a musical theatre performer, actress and singer.

Her love for public speaking also brought her to become a tour guide- she worked for various companies including Royal Caribbean.

Personally for her, the main difference between acting and tour guiding, is that with acting you are someone else, so it can be easier to fake it, but with tour guiding, it is YOU exposing yourself.

She has always put a lot of passion in the study of voice, articulation, body language, and she performed and spoke in front of very vast audiences, from Greek theatres, to Music Auditoriums, to the Sydney Opera House.

The use of her voice, has also helped Cristina, not only to be on stage in a great number of plays and shows, but also in the corporate world, always winning as best customer service personnel. She now gives voice lessons, for aspiring performers, corporate workers, teachers, and school workshops.

The Full Moon Ceremony will be held once a month. Full Moon Ceremony is a religious activity that will show some cultural perfomances started from Gebogan Parade, Joged Bumbung (dance), Rejang Dewa Dance, Topeng Tua Dance, Pray Together, and closed by Kecak Dance. This month we will celebrate the Full Moon on April 30th. Dont miss it!
